About Me

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a keen interest in storytelling.

From books and theatre to film and digital experiences, the story is always what draws us in and allows us to make connections between ourselves and the world around us.

This love of storytelling stayed with me at university where I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Drama Studies, and later when I completed a Masters in Computer Science. After spending several years working in healthcare innovation, I found my niche as a UX/UI designer.

UX design is a unique blend of technical meeting the psychological. Technology has the power to make our lives easier and more meaningful, but when we remove the importance of the human experience, it can also distract and confuse. My goal as a designer is to help businesses and users to use technology to improve both the difficult and mundane tasks.

In my spare time, I work in theatre and co-host a literary podcast.

My Values

πŸ’œ Empathy

Understanding the experiences of others is key, not only to good design, but to life in general! Having empathy and actively looking through the eyes of other people allows us to connect with how they might be feeling about particular problems or situations. Without empathy, we close ourselves off to new experiences.

πŸ” Ask questions

Often we are afraid to ask questions for fear of looking stupid, or make assumptions based on our own experiences. Asking questions is how we can keep learning about the world around us and the people inhabiting it with us.

πŸ“š Never stop learning

I love learning, whether it’s through reading, listening, language or travel. Constantly learning keeps us open-minded and allows us to grow into more well-rounded individuals.
